I did a recording using a backing track and had no idea that there was an original piece of music that had been written by this guy from Portugal...Jose Carlos Matos. Having finished it and put it up on a site for people to hear, I was suprised and shocked when Jose replied to the thread informing me that it was his track (called 'Let Me Tell You A Secret' ) and that I'd done a decent job creating something with his backing track! I quickly checked out the original via his site and realised he was a class act. Like me, he's EVH mad...check him out.
This website is dedicated to Guitarists!
A place where fans and musicians can find all the Guitar Players on the Planet!
Guitars 101 is the best site on the web for guitarists and musicians. It’s a large community of people from all over the globe offering help, advice and their services, free of charge. There is a HUGE backing track archive, a monthly competition for players of all standards plus a lot of chat, humour and opinion on all things guitar based.

Buying my PODxt was probably the best decision I’ve made regarding musical gear in the last 30 years! This thing has allowed me to share and distribute my music over the globe without having to spend a lot of cash in a recording studio. I can do this all in my own home and the results are easily as good as if I’d taken my big valve stuff into a studio. There are lots of company doing modelling based systems these days. These guys started it all and in my opinion are the best.

Terry Lauderdale is the ‘Eddie’ in Bay Area based VH tribute, Hot For Teacher. He’s also a red-hot player in all styles of rock and, like me, is old enough to remember when Dave Meniketti, Gary Moore and George Lynch ruled the guitar world!

Still my favourite band. Awesome musicians, great writers and bloody scary as hell live! If you get the chance to see them, DO!
This band was such a big influence on me as a musician. I saw them recently on their 30 th Anniversary show at Wembley Arena and they were awesome. I’ve seen them loads of times since the ‘70’s so this was like a reunion for me. Great to catch them live again. I don’t think there would be a Dream Theater if there hadn’t been a Rush.

Johnny is a singer for the US who I did some work on an album with. He’s got a fantastic set of pipes in a Geoff Tate, King Diamond style. There are samples of his work on the site. Check him out!

Melodic Rock is the site where a lot of the music press get their stories! Andrew has a huge database of bands that are still out there writing great AOR/Rock stuff but isn’t fashionable with today’s Linkin Park, Blink 182 affected youth. He’s also on first name terms with a lot of them as he’s championed them for years. Great site for reviews of new products and news before the rest of the music press find it.

Hard Rockin’ 80’s is a US based rock radio that only plays the good stuff. On a Friday evening, DJ Grinder plays ONLY NWOBHM from 10pm UK time…just like the Old Friday Rock Show on Radio 1. Go to the site and look for the link to listen to the show…it’s a blast from the past!

Jay is a great guitarist in the George Lynch mould. In fact you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference! He's already contributed to a Lynch tribute album and there is a lot of great stuff at his site...and he's a UK guy so show some support and buy his album...NOW!
